Disney Math(s)

Woo hoo! I made it to Disneyland today – the original one! For those of you who have been to a Disney park, or indeed planning a trip you will know how expensive it is! However, today I worked out some Disney maths. My American readers will say math, but it’s plural (there is more that one sum as we’d say, therefore maths.

Anyway, now that we have that sorted, let me give you my tips to make your Disney trip(s) feel much more affordable. You’re welcome (hee hee).

I bought my tickets from Attractiontickets.com (I’m not getting paid by them, I’ve just used them a lot. They have tickets for various countries and Disney Parks, Paris, Orlando and, luckily for me California! I bought a two day ticket, one park per day £262. Going through topcashback.co.uk (or .com for my American friends) gives you a bit of a discount (5% when I bought my tickets) AND you get cashback (£3.44 for me – it all counts)! My ticket cost me £248.90! Divide that by two and it’s £124.45 per day. “That’s still a bit expensive Lorraine” I hear you say and you’d be right! However, if I tell you I entered the park at 0800 and left at 2200 then that works out at £10.35 an hour! Bargain. The park did not close until midnight so if I’d stayed all day, that would have come right down to a very reasonable £7.78! Please feel free into pop in the comments where you could get an hour of entertainment for JUST £7.78.

I had some inside information (thanks Douglas) that if I visited City Hall and asked if I could be an honorary citizen of Disneyland for the day I might be lucky enough to get that elusive pin badge! You can see for yourself below that I was indeed lucky enough! I think it gives me squatters rights and I do indeed need somewhere to live…

I won’t bore you all with numerous pictures, there is a separate page with all my photos from today!
