That is all there is left now, Hong Kong and Japan.
Quite emotional tonight for that reason and many others. Looking back and looking forward I guess.
I cannot believe in just over three weeks I’ll be home. I cannot believe how much I’ve learnt and achieved while I’ve been away.
So many new experiences, new places, new people, new wildlife! I’ve been pulled so far out my comfort zone it’s not funny. Well, maybe it is now!
I’ve tried to surf at Waikiki and although there was no standing, there was catching those waves lying on the board, my head held high. I caught a glimpse of a huge turtle while out there, that was amazing.
I stood at the base of glaciers in Alaska, marvelling at how small and insignificant each of us are. I felt exactly the same at Milford Sound in NZ, marvelling at the wonder of it all.
Snapping away at the hundreds of floral species in Singapore made me determined to keep up with my gardening when I eventually get my own place again. In the meantime, if anyone wants some help in their gardens I don’t charge much!
From Singapore to the jungle. OK, ok technically “the rainforest” but those noises outside convinced me I was in the jungle and an orangutan was trying to unlock my door. Google it, there’s at least one clip of orangutans using keys!
I know I said it in my post, but that was an incredible experience. The one thing I’d built my whole trip around. My only disappointment is that it wasn’t long enough. I’d do it all over again.
Anyway, I’m wittering online I’m done, I’m far from done. There are still three amazing weeks left. Three weeks of who knows what but then, that’s life really, unpredictable! Who knewI’d see the Sylvanian Families again today? Nope. See. Unpredictable!
